HELLO PEOPLE!!! wyntrice here trying to make an effort to WAKE the blog up. anyhow, the meeting at the esplanade went SUPERB...well apart from the fact that only half the board room was filled up this time and 7/22 showed up. on the whole the esplanade ppl liked it and a certain BENSON-something joined in to view the thing. only when we were walking out of the esplanade did darren tell me that the Benson dude was the CEO of the esplanade. yes the boss people.

okay so i was wondering WHO would be free on 14-15 july?? was trying to see whether i could emotionally backmail you guys to come for a bday celebration... yes... MY bday celebration so if none turn up then oh well.... it's okay... i know we shared wonderful memories during Pre-u sem but i guess your lives are more important than celebrating a friend's bday.. it's okay. and JAC. you wanna celebrate together??!!! btw jac's bday is on the 16th while mine is on the 17th. SO just tag or blog!!!

haiya, dun think weelic got a windfall or something, it was a pre-u sem trip, and the people there were very nice, coz we made a video for them.

hey all

sorry i have not been doing any posting or msning haha... been in and out of the hospital constantly throughout the whole week >.< apparently the bronchitis started on the last day of the camp so hope i didnt pass it to any of you. bleh.

anyways! on a happier note, I -heart- SG6! i was feeling so miserable when i left the hospital for my interview on monday when i reached into my backpack (yeah the nerdy blue one) and i felt the orange file... Well to cut a long story short i read the postcards and got overcome by a fit of giggles and that really put me into a good mood for the interview. haha i recommend everyone read their postcards when they are feeling not-so-high =D!

oh yes. to all those JC1ers (planning to take H3 next year, or just itching to get a journal published, or wanna boost your portfolio, or are nuts like me), wanna take on a project with me? HELLO FELLOW SG6-IANS! Sorry I haven't been emailing or tagging or whatever stuff that the rest of you guys have, my school has SUMMER TESTS (HAHA tts what they call ca in innova) and loads of classes going on. boo. anyway. Long story cut short, Pre-U sem was a blast and I wldn't have had any other funner way to spend the last week of pre-holidays school and with no other fun-ner group. You guys are amazing and you rock my squeaky clean socks! (: i loved the food, i loved the bed (slap me) but it wouldn't have been the same without sg06. its definitely something I'll keep with myself for the rest of my Life.

I know this is gonna sound weird but I suppose we don't always know for our sure if our friendships are gonna last. Friends come and go as always, although we can always try our best to be there for each other. but the memory definitely lasts (: now that THAT emo side is over with, let me clarify that NASRI IS A BUSY BOY! thanks to school so I'm only free next week on thursday or friday. that sucks doesn't it. HAHA.

that's like sooooo like totally cool.

anyways, this entry was suppose to be up yesterday coz it happened yesterday. but i was busy chionging for my netherlands project.

mon 28th may
Early lesson on Monday at 0900 means sarah had to get up at about 0600. but as usual i was late. so while i was putting on my makeup and listening to the radio, i thought about my dear roomie. -waves- how during the five days i would be putting on my makeup, listening to music and dressing. then we'd sing along together.

then the first lesson after one week of mia. my lab buddy asked me how was preU sem. how was i to answer her? summing all those five days worth of memories into a sentence didn't really quite serve justice to sg6. and so instead of my usual reply to almost everything with an orh ok lor; like that lor; it was alright, i replied -it was DAMN NICE la, DAMN FUN.

and then during lunch time, i recieved a text message from darren that went something like

and sarah was having her brunch of chicken chop plus sunnyside egg. and laughing and smiling to myself in bizpark. for a whole twentyminutes i think.

i swear i must have looked like a fool. forwarded it to patpat.

during lecture for destination planning and development. my lecturer mentioned this Ship for South East Asian Youth Program
where youths working in the public sector from ASEAN go on this cruise thingy and get to know one another. for a couple of months. which results in lasting friendshipa and marriages in some cases.

my point?

different people from different places come together. strong bonds and friendship.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR? nostalgia. nostalgia.

yup. that's enough emo for one night. =)

HEY THERE!!! my VERY FIRST post!!! anyways, i think that i shall not write SUPER long entries on how PRE-U sem was like.... cos i'll get emo... lets just say that i cried almost everytime nat started an emo speech. so... i think we should spend ONE WHOLE DAY together... morning "gao dim" = settle the esplanade thing cos i'm sure that everyone is more concerned bout the movie marathon thing. hmm

Hi SG 6 peeps!
Yeah it's been 2 days since the seminar.
But i still miss you guys.
Today's a classic example.

I went for duty today from 3pm to 9 pm. Yes it's boring sitting by the poolside. It's definitely more fun being with you guys. 110%

Anyway, there was this bunch of angmoh blokes and blondes from some angmoh country frolicking by the pool. There were kids swimming around, yeah, the lecturers' children.

But the angmoh blokes didn't give a damn la. They were showing off their backflipping skills to the ladies. So eeeee la. Backflipping into the competition pool. That's a real big statement to us.
HAOLIAN. BACKFLIP IN FRONT OF LIFEGUARDS.

So my friend and I wanted to stop him. As usual, darren always play taji, HAHAHA ask my friend to do it. HAHAHA. He's my junior. And worst, he is smaller than me. Ok slap me. Free slaps, i deserve it.

My friend went to stop him. Then i was relaxing by lah, didn't anticipate any problem cause this always happens. Got to stop pea-brains from doing real brainless stuff. Then there was a commotion.

"Hey, don't stop me from doing anything! This is a swimming pool. What rubbish? Go away!" in a frenchy accent.

"Erm, I'm sorry, but we are in-charge over here, we are responsible," my friend look blur as he explains.

Then i came by, and i heard this.

"I've been doing this since 6 and now I'm 22. Don't try to kid me HELLO," frenchy accent.

Alright i was pissed and i helped my friend. Those blah blah stern stuff lah. And then the ang moh got pissed and walked off. Whatever. haha.

So we went back to the bench, played staring with the angmohs, spat abit of hokkien crap and all hahahaha. But in my mind i was thinking about you guys.

You guys are a real humble bunch la. You guys totally make the angmoh a loser.

We gelled together despite of our age, our school, our "cao kuans" and our "suay kuans".

My friend was lamenting saying that her group members had no respect for her and those from the better-established schools were very proud and had very low EQ. Could see she was quite disappointed with her group. She wished it was like the same instituition group kind of thing.

Not only her. Many others in the NYP bus were complaining too. Whilst yours truly here was huddled behind the bus and txting some of you guys cause i didn't say my goodbyes.

And i was "ahm chioing" (secretly smiling) in my heart. i was about to cry too as i huddled.

I'm also emo la. (tsk Sarah says guys who are afraid of tickling are afraid of and get bullied by their wives. sounds quite true. haha) My stomach was heavy while i was recording the song for u guys lah.

loads to say after this mia period. hopefully i can remember all. and may i warn u guys. it's gonna be a loooooooooong loooooooooooooooooooooooooong entry.

here goes.

12th may sat
Woke up pretty early to cab down to NTU. left home a little later than expected coz i didn't know what to wear. polys could wear what ever we wanted to. but the jcs had to come in uniform. loadsa admin talk and all. then some software program talk whereby sarah promptly fell asleep. and woke up to shawnpaul's question of "sarah(lael), are u sleeping?" and in my closed eyes but ears still alert state, i nodded my head and carried on sleeping.

we then went off into our seminar groups for icebreaker games and all. as usual, names were introduced and game of whacko begins. gimmetemporeadygo was played too. sneha couldn't really get the hang of it coz she was forever being sabotaged by us and has to go hahaX4. double whacko came in too. made fast friends with joanne aka jo from sp. but i couldn't really remember most of the other names. save for our slos natalie and patrick. patrick reminds me of jason. but they don't look the least alike. dismissed at around 12plus1? bussed home with weelic, james and fren.

etcetc.

Fastforward to a week later.

20th may sun
Got home after work and dinner, started on putting my project research into report format. whilst packing for five days. no joke i tell you. but my trusty puma gym bag never fails me. stuffed everything into the puma bag, a shoe bag, a suit cover and a ring folder.

21st may mon
cabbed down to ntu with padma who came with her dad. irritating cab driver didn't know where to go before taking the assignment. i hope her dad wasn't too late for work. oh wells. reached about fifteen mins late. but had to wait for another half hour for our group to arrive. had a sumptuous breakfast in the meantime. met mrs wee who recalled me being in pj but she could not remember what she remembered me for.

met my roomate wyntrice who was waiting outside for me as i was holding on to the key. settled in and unpacked. joanne and sheena next door. then it was grace and eunice. and i have no idea who else. i think it was raja then veronica.

at first i was hoping for a single room so i could a room all for myself. but then roomie wyntrice told me about the ifyoustayinasingleroom youhavetoknockthreetimes andsayyouarestayingforthenextfivedaysbeforeyoucanenter. i was very glad that i got to share a room after all.

met the rest of the group for teambuilding games of spiderweb, blanket thingy and human soccer table. lunch was not bad. had viet pho. visit to the esplanade as part of our learning journey. slept on the way there due to lack of sleep. as i have yet to attend any ticketed performance at the esplanade, the visit into the concert hall was kinda cool. with all that cool acoustic architecture and design stuff. and to quote someone's words "the silence is deafening". truly. reception wasn't too bad too.

had an attackoftheants back at the dorm. no idea what they were attracted to in my general pouch. had an ants killing frenzy before i emptied the pouch and washed it.

storyboarding lecture was well.. alright. didn't sleep coz i made myself stay awake by copying notes which im sure i will never read again in the future.

came back and checked for ants again. coz it seemed each time we're out, the ants come out to play.

internet connectionless so played some music on itunes. went to bed pretty early.

22nd may tue
morning call at about 6 in the morning. full formal attire with disproportionate and ugly tp blazer. opening ceremony was made a tad more interesting with newly added sms-ing of comments and questions component. had tea then went for our 1st parallel presentation at lt19. dear roomie mia-ed to lt20 to watch her school present. and that's where she found her eye candy.

i swear they feed us like we're pigs. with six meals a day. breakfast tea lunch tea dinner supper. it's little wonder everyone kept drifting off to sleep. lunched then a panel discussion back at the audi.

truth or dare was retermed as scandal or scandalous. we're the scandals group i must say. creating scandals out of nothing out of sheer boredom to entertain ourselves.

group discussion for our presentation of singapore as a cultural hub. had a super long discussion with no clear sight. not really. then dominic came up with this really cool concept which was verbalised through darren. i think dominic's shy. me and wyntrice went to get postcards for our message exchanges.

after dinner, we split into two groups and started work on the proj. occupied wyntrice with labelling each card with our group member's names. on our side, yirui did most of the work trying to work out the newsmaker software and figuring out the content of the presentation.

then we all got sianed and started scandalising with the long sour sweet. quite a bit of pics and photos. but definitely not postable. whereas those dealing with stopmotion had people like grace, darren, dominic and andrew and a whole bunch with creative juices flowing.

more music to sleep.

23rd may wed
another early morning for us. woke up and quietly left the room so wyntrice could have a bit more sleep. she didn't need to put on makeup like i did so she could sleep in a lil more. switched on lappy for music on itunes.

parallel presentations with random messages passed on a fullscap paper. haven done that in like ages. like in nanyang days and pioneer days. while some of them started on the 10by10 bingo. started on the postcards. joined in the 10by10 bingo during panel discussion. it sure did help pass time pretty fast. chionged to start the filming our project presentation.

panel was chaired by some guy from newwater pub thingy. so we each received the mascot softoy of pub. tho im not one for softoys much but that blue thing held much meaning for me. it represented times i had with SG6. and so i had to find space in my bag to pack it in.

discovered james' soft spot for soft toys too.

can't say much about the stopmotion side coz i didn't join them. just that they are AWESOME. didn't see the process but could tell that much much hard work and menial origami and positioning and all was done. i heard that andrew had to say OK for about a thousand times throughout the filming. this is one super quiet but intelligent ac guy. i think he thinks alot. the end result was just way cool i tell u.

while on my side, with yirui as the director and producer, lorraine and cherie as the character, and matheus the bimbo-fier. i swear this guy is secretly a bimbo. he's just so good at it. and he laughs like scooby. damn funny. and he got james infected with his laughter too. now james laughs a little like him.

had tonnes of NG. which sadly could not be recorded and save due to the nature of the software or perhaps we didn't know how. else we'd have the best bloopers. THE BEST. coz u see, joanne was suppose to act bimbo-y and pretend to catch sparkles and touch them while i was all serious and delivering my content.

then i saw out of the corner of my eye, matheus and yirui and godnoeswhoelse holding back their laughters. in all sorts of patterns. squinty eyes. shirt pulled up to bite. trembling shoulders. i could not help but bursting into peals of laughter. like literally. tearing and laughing uncontrollably till i turned red in the face. sputtering and all.

rushed against time to catch the sunlight. but we did it in the end. albeit my performance wasn't spectacular. but we manage to produce a contrast between the seriousness and bimboness. not forgetting the stop motion was AWESOME.

while people like nat, grace, veron, andrew and darren rushed to compile, burn and submit, the few of us stayed behind and played stupid games like I NEVER. loadsa stupid things came out. there were people who threw out wierd i nevers. then we turned it into sabo-ing i nevers by naming some i nevers that would make them drink.

james ordered a durian which we didn't use in the end. so after a supposedly emo debrief by nat, and peekture taking, a couple of us feasted on it. found a couple of durian lovers that night. as usual, durian breathe was hard to rid of.

24th may thu

this morning was no different from the others. breakfast. cam whoring. parallel presentation. headed over to lt20 to help powder jaisee and maurice's head. luckily it wasn't johnson and johnson's baby powder. else i might have another bout of nose allergy or something. it was a scented one this time round. headed back to lt19 to catch dunnowhichschool's presentation. i think it was sa.

went back to lt20 with wyntrice in tow as she wanted to watch her eyecandy present. tp's performance was alright. everyone else was full of praises. but perhaps as we've seen it one too many times. nonetherless, shawnpaul, maurice and jaisee performed well i must say. sp had some technical problems. alex then went down to give a hand.

tea. panel discussion. lunch. more bingo. more message. the list of selected groups chosen to showcase their presentations was read. was half wishing that we would get selected in recognition of our group effort and hard work. yet at the same time, me and jo were like.. please no. please no. coz we'd be so embarrased. more for jo i would think. but yea. SG6 was chosen.

everyone was damn high after that. felt that everything we've done paid off. lunch was really well spent. perhaps coz everyone was really estatic about the selection. and partly coz preU sem was drawing to an end and everyone kinda realised that. got into the game of tuuki4ummchichiummchitongkatongka. their version was a mix of two of the similar games learnt during otc and foc.

got changed and bussed to the istana after lunch. stupid games were played again. gimmetempo, haidai, slapping hand. and i can't remember what else. hafirah was soooo cute coz she couldn't get the hang of it and ended up going like fiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-then breaking into peals of laughter along with us. while sneha mastered the game. and watching wyntrice and darren play haidai was the ultimate. so super enthu. so funny and cute la. oh yea thumb game which was like 51015. and the random speed clapping game. then weelic and jac played the slapping game till hands were red and glowing. there was heibaipei too.

then we had mindless games which i forgot how to play but got the hang of it pretty fast coz during sl camp last year, mag, niven and chekmeng initiated. fuzzywuzzy, stringgame, bangbangbangwhodied and whatstherelationship.

waited longer than anything else. totally screwed up operations management. food wasn't too bad. jo managed to find some durian puree with glutinous rice thingy. and boy did we have durian breathe after that. and i ran out of mints. loadsa camera whoring. and then wyntrice went to scandalise with patrick while teaching him alot of "when your girlfriend..."

although photos weren't really allowed but everyone photowhored. even the guards and the photographers themselves. took a couple of jump shots. been really long since i took one. the last i took was at sentosa with terry, polymates.

this looks kinda ominous doesn't it.

post istana was spent bluetoothing in the bus. if we could see the bluetooth rays, i think the whole bus would be glowing blue. then played scandal or scandalous. with patrick and darren being ever so sporting. feedback and evaluation on oms. with full score for our slos. noone could have done it better than them. nat being so motherly and getting us to drink water. and patrick forever so blur. but each of them performed their roles to the best. i swear we have the best people in the group.

went with the presentation group of jo, weelic, nasri, yirui, matheus and sneha for technical dryruns and all. bus uncle drove us a wrongandlong way. and then the pe teachers who were leading the way brought us to walk the wrongandlong way too. don't know what's with these people. and guys were suppose to have a better sense of direction. oh did i mention, mr kwok was there too. as the special programme in-charge cum mc.

played zhongzhimima on the bus. haven't played that since jc also. sneha was the ultimate champion. and it was only her first time playing it. each of us got from 1 to 3 forfeits. but we never did them.

showered and met up with the rest of the group past 11. talk rubbish. emo talk by nat and pat. which was made hilarious by me asking andrew to play some emo songs. but then we became super serious and emo. postcards were passed around. macs came. nat finally managed to borrow a guitar and darren performed the song he wrote for the group. was damn nice and meaningful.

more tukituki game all the way till three plus. with the level up style. causing each other to be suspicious of each other as they began tricking the lower levels. but that added to the excitement of it. ultimate people who try Try and TRY to trick others include nat, yirui, wyntrice, darren, weelic and jac. that girl was the all time champion in upping her level. and andrew was so super super super funny. coz each time someone talks to him. he goes into a trance-like state. andrew meditating. omgomgomg. damn funny la.

were it not for kelvin ng (ithinkttshisname) we would have played till the break of dawn. split at about three. went back, washed up and started abit on ticketing reservations while wyntrice caught some shut eye. wasn't intending to sleep. but i got sleepy. and ko-ed for about an hour or so.

25th may fri
got changed for the last day of preU. for once we were earlier then the guys. coz usually i'd be the one who made wyntrice late also. but for the last day, we were early for once. everyone looked gloomy and still sleepy-eyed. that was until we got started on the game again. and we were the only group who was so awake that morning. headed over for the exhibition of our projects at exhibition hall. got bored then sat down to camwhore again. played more of the game.

glen and shawnpaul initiated a poly cheer. took a poly photo. it was nice to see the polys unite. like kinda once in a lifetime. plus we weren't as big a group as the jcs and still could manage fitting into a frame and also complete a simple cheer.

played the role of a flower vase as the ministers came around to 'view' our projects. couldn't be bothered to speak up nor appear to be intelligent. preU sem ended with quite a bang. ifweholdontogether also made loadsa people cry. was shocked to see weelic's tears. plus wyntrice, jac and nat. last lunch together. eunice spoke up and shared her thoughts. that gurl almost made me cry. darren, wyntrice and joanne spoke up too. i was the last poly link in that group but i didn't share anything. for sarah was afraid sh'd be like wyntrice. speaking and crying at the same time.

yet another round of game after checking out. then eunice's brother came and gave me a lift to the interchange for me to catch my straight bus home.

and so that was the fullstop to preU sem. but definitely not to SG6. this must have been the best camp thing in my whole 21years. if they added the cheering component like what they do in foc to the camp, i swear it'll bring the whole group to another level. but then again, the jc culture is alil different from polys aye. not sure if they do as much cheering as we do in polys now. nonetheless. it was good that we didn't have cheering. else i would have cheered my lungs out for the group. like what i did for fow/c. and end up sounding like a guy after only three days.

ko-ed after a shower and unpacking. like post otc and foc. mass email flooding.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the wonderful experience at PreU Sem 2007. It wouldn't have been possible were it not for each and every one of you.

Like Veronica, I kept quiet during the sharing session at lunch coz i was afraid i'd be like wyntrice, eunice or our motherly Nat. Sarah wears eye makeup and cannot afford to bawl u see.

Although I wasn't a totally willing participant when i got selected to join preU, but rather, I came out of obligation and responsibility as my course manager and lecturer personally 'elected' and asked me to join this seminar. Besides, the preparation for the individual institution's presentation was taking a toll on my school group work and school work. Having to give up alot of personal free time and sacrificing our school work, I think I can safely say that the poly people like Joanne, Eunice, Darren and myself have tonnes to catch up when we get back to school. And I'm sure those in JC have loadsa lectures and tutorial content to do when u get back, especially those taking A's.

But boy am I glad I got involved in this, seeing it through till the end and having all of you in the group made the experience so much more special, memorable and unforgettable. The bonds formed and friendships forged between the 22 of us, each with your uniques traits, talents and personalities, from different places within this 5 days. Let us not lose each other ok. Meet up sometime. even if it's just to play group games. or create scandals.

Ok, I think before everyone starts emo-ing again, I shall stop here yea?

anyone wants to go watch pirates 3 or shrek 3 together? just a suggestion for an outing. maybe we can go to vivo to catch the movie. that way, LORRAINE can show us where to do our nails too =) hmm.. but i know you all have busy schedules coming up, so i don't think we'll be able to agree on a common date.. right? oh well, just a thought.

hey people. natnat here =) firstly, mind my english alright? =x and I might be very naggy =x haha

hmm. i've lots and lots and lots of things to say you know? but i really donno where to start with. but i really wanna thank you people for taking so much iniative; setting up this blog, doing up the photobucket thingy etc. when i see the mails. i really feel so touch by each and everyone of you. within such a short 5 days. we became stangers to groupmates to friends! everything is like so unbelievable. I’m really happy to see that everyone had bonded so closely to one another.

The very first day we met. I can remember that jo was wearing a blue-green kind of dress. And, it was very short =x haha. Sarah wore jeans and a black t shirt. Darren wore blazer like all the others. Enuice and wyntrice wasn’t there.

After the tea reception, we went to the second floor and sat down. We gave you people 1 min toilet break and jo was late! =x I went to the toilet to look for her. And after that pat and I started our ground rules. I remembered saying about punctuality and actually pat and I planned what to say before meeting you people. After I finished saying about punctuality, I was afraid that jo might think that I was actually pointing to her. but I really wasn’t. =) we started going round introducing each other. Our name, institutions, cca. And I was really shocked to know that yirui was also from syco. HA so coincidence! Lol. And then sarah didn’t had a cca. Haha. And jac had quite a lot! LOL. And I remembered I cant pronounced ‘matheus’ properly =x we started our very first ice breaker! Which was ‘whacko’ ! =) guess this is a very good game for people to remember each other’s name =) haha. Then then. Double whacko! =x eh. Guess I didn’t explained clearly cause some of you didn’t really understand. Haha. We then played our TEMPO game. Haha. Actually I think I didn’t really conducted the game well haha. But seeing you people smile, im quite contented le=x haha. Then we went down to the foyer for the software demo =) on the way, Darren took off his blazer cause he say its too hot. Haha. But I asked him to tuck in. =) you people didn’t really explored. Haha. Then you all sat down and chit chat waiting to go in for the discussion. Jo had to go, jac had to go too. Then you all went in for discussion. Haha. Then its our time to eat=x lol. then after some time we went to look for you people and yirui had to go I think. Nasri too? Forgot la. But some need to leave. Then we brought you people to lt19 and 20 then to canteen a. which was quite rush though. Then told you people can take the bus from either side. Haha. Then we had to rush back cause our bus reached le. And on the way back. My drink actually spilt LOL =x ok. Im clumsy. Then then. We didn’t meet for one whole week…

Hehe. This is just the first time we met. I’ll update next time =x hehe. See ya people! Really miss ya lots. Drink lots of water k? and sleep early. Tests and exams coming up! Jia you orh! =) cya people =)

Hello everyone!!!

Sorry I couldn't be there when everyone said goodbye. So here's what I have to say.

THANK YOU all for being such a fantastic SG! I've had such a great time with everyone, loads of laughter, fun and of course, SCANDALOUS times! I'll miss each and everyone of you. Once again, thank you all! I love ya guys!

I haven't been checking my email, so I didn't realise that I've missed out on so much action...

Anyways, since everyone misses each other, let's plan an outing! OMG! That's like so totally pink! Can we all go and do our nails? Please? Pretty pretty please? I know like this totally fabulous nail place at Vivo, which btw, is like the best mall around. Did you know that it has like so many shops? Like like I can spend the whole day like just shopping there?

JUST KIDDING!!! I was having a Lorraine moment there. But seriously, let's have an outing. Any suggestions as to where? Sentosa?
